Integrative Support for Life Transitions, Personal Growth & Professional Challenges

Major life transitions can create periods of uncertainty that make it difficult to feel grounded or confident in the direction ahead. During these times, it’s common to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next.

STIR offers a structured, supportive space to slow down, gain perspective, and move forward with clarity in a way that fits your life.

Our approach is guided by our  STIR Framework, which centers on four core areas of growth:

Self-Discovery

Understanding who you are and what matters most

Thought Patterns

Recognizing the beliefs and habits that influence daily life

Insight

Gaining deeper awareness of how experiences shape behavior and decisions.

Rebuilding

Taking intentional steps toward healthier choices & stronger relationships.

What We Do

STIR Integrative Counseling & Consulting supports individuals navigating life transitions, personal challenges, and relationship concerns across both personal and professional areas of life. STIR was created to offer a structured, supportive space to slow down, gain perspective, and better understand yourself.

Many people come to STIR during periods of change—when something no longer feels aligned, when life has shifted, or when it’s hard to see what comes next. Our work focuses on helping you identify patterns, build insight, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and intention.

Services are offered through counseling, coaching, and professional consulting, supporting both individuals and organizations.

Meet LaKisha Watson

LaKisha Watson, MS, CEAP®, LCDCI
DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) | Military Veteran

Hi, I’m LaKisha.

My work is grounded in behavioral health, leadership, and lived experience. Before stepping into counseling, I spent over 20 years in  healthcare operations building teams, solving complex problems, and creating systems that support people in real, practical ways.

I’m also a military veteran, and that experience shapes how I approach this work. I value structure, accountability, and clarity, while understanding that life doesn’t always follow a plan. Many of the people I work with are trying to find their footing in the middle of change, pressure, or uncertainty.

My approach is person-centered, direct, and collaborative. I draw from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Attachment Theory to help you understand patterns. How you think, how you respond, and how your relationships may be influencing where you are now. At the same time, I create space to explore questions around identity, meaning, and direction, especially during times of transition.

Together, we focus on what’s within your control, what needs to shift, and how to take steps that are realistic and sustainable.

I don’t overcomplicate the process. My role is to help you make sense of where you are, get clear on what matters, and move forward with intention.

This work often centers around personal and relational challenges, recovery, and the stress that comes with responsibility and expectations, as well as navigating life transitions, no matter wherever you are in your journey.

My goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, think clearly, and work through what’s in front of you—without pressure, without assumptions, and without judgment.
